The American Buckeye Poultry Club is a registered non-profit
breed club created to promote and support the Buckeye
chicken, both large fowl and bantam. Buckeye chickens are the
perfect breed for homesteaders, backyard poultry enthusiasts,
even urban chicken keepers, and thrive in all types of climates.
We welcome members from all walks of life, and strive to be
inclusive. From the backyard chicken owner to the breeder of
high-end show poultry; from the 4-H Cloverbud to the fancier
with 50 years of experience with the breed, we are happy to
embrace any who are fans of this wonderful breed of chicken.
We hope you'll join us!
We are Associate Members of the American Poultry
Association, the American Bantam Association, and The Livestock Conservancy. And we have a wonderful partnership
with the Youth Exhibition Poultry Association, which you can
read more about on our Youth Page.
We have Bylaws and a Constitution, which include our formal
Objectives. We have elections every two years at which we
elect officers for the Board of Directors. We charge a
reasonable membership fee, and provide a host of benefits for
